5) Stay teachable – Be humble and kind and open to new experiences. Life is the biggest teacher available and it teaches you valuable lessons every day. Each person has his own unique sets of skills which make him different from others, but there is always something new and something out of the way that you adapt to or at least be welcoming to.

6) Read and write – Reading is a means to absorb the knowledge available to you, to take time and just sit with a book and let it open the gates for new thoughts and ideas while writing is a means to let out the pent up thoughts and emotions that you have caged in on paper. Writing especially gives you an outlet not only for your thoughts but also for your feelings. It’s an extrovert approach to communication that is done completely and utterly in the introvert manner.

7) Remove clutter– To make space for new ideas and new goals, it is extremely important that we let go of everything that is in our way. In other words the little clutter we gather in the corners of our lives. It can be negative thoughts, it can be just old clothes and books and some stuff that has mounted in your house over the years. The mantra is to “Let Go”.

8) More random acts of kindness– Random acts of kindness are good for givers and receivers alike. It could be a quick call or text to someone you care about or have lost touch with, or showing a fellow motorist some consideration, or giving up your seat on a train or bus, or buying someone lunch or giving a spontaneous bunch of flowers.

9) Don’t respond to negativity -Modern-day living tends to be aspirational and we can easily find ourselves chasing an ever-growing list of goals, many of which can be material.
